The Living on Earth & World Media Foundation Recording and Production Studio is Available For Hourly Rental

News stations, APM/NPR/PRI affiliates, independent reporters or individuals in need of state-of-the-art digital recording ability need look no further. Living on Earth (LOE) will provide a full-scale production environment that will meet the demands of your professional project or recording session.

Living on Earth's pro-audio recording facilities are located in the center of bustling Davis Square, Somerville not far from Harvard Square, Cambridge. Our facility is set up for audio recording and transmission services for live broadcasts, interviews, talk shows and many other audio production applications.

The Control Room and Recording Studios are available for ISDN 2-ways, 3-ways including digital "phoners," voice tracking, and many other diverse audio production needs.

The LOE Recording Studio is equipped with the ability to record and/or route high quality audio using a professional grade Telos Zephyr ISDN unit (utilizing industry standard Layer 2 Mono 128 64bps/48kHz digital settings or employing several other popular encoding formats upon request).

LOE proudly uses Neumann U87, AKG C414B-ULS and ElectroVoice RE20 microphones for superior vocal sound recording. The studio is equipped with Minidisk Recorders, Compact Disc Players and DAT (Digital Audio Tape) machines for all of your digital audio requirements. And, yes, we do have analog resources, as well (Cassette and Reel-to-Reel!).

The LOE Audio Engineering and Production crew is looking forward to working with you on your productions to ensure professional sound for your recordings and broadcasts.

Studio rental is $100 per hour.

This fee includes Audio Engineering services during regular business hours of 9:00am-5:00pm EST, Monday through Friday (weekend and after-hours rates $150.00 per hour).
